Speakers' Bureau

The International Speakers' Bureau is an exclusive program that promotes our member experts for speaking engagements worldwide. When planning their programs, conference planners, event producers, corporations, universities, government agencies, business organizations, and trade associations will consider you as a speaker. Perfect both for writers and experts travelling the world, and for those doing teleseminars, e-workshops, podcasts, and audio presentations online and via telephone from their own homes. (If you book just one $150 talk this year, you've more than paid for your membership.)

“A few days after I posted my speaker profile on the International Association of Writers' website, I began receiving inquiries from meeting planners who wanted to book me for high-paying speaking gigs. The International Association of Writers rocks!”

—Linda Gradstein, correspondent, National Public Radio

You Can Conquer Prostate Cancer

This presentation describes how medical science has begun to conquer prostate cancer, the leading male cancer. It suggests ways individual survivors can conquer prostate cancer, by taking action to confront their cancer calmly, being informed and decisive, and learning how to diminish pain and stress. Since the contributing author of this book, Dr. Robert Carey, is a leading urologist and the author's robotics surgeon, the use of the da Vinci robot and its pluses and minuses will be underscored. Some time will be devoted to the crucial need for smooth patient-doctor relationships, with additional thoughts on how that can often be problematic. The rapport between a doctor and his patient is yet another factor that can help determine if a patient will conquer prostate cancer.

Rabbi Ed Weinsberg, Ed. D., wrote Prostate Cancer: How Medicine, Faith, Love and Sex Can Renew Your Life. He is a survivor, patient educator, gerontologist and rabbi.

Glenn R. Neal

Attorney at Law

When there is a 5-to-4 decision in the Supreme Court, there are four justices who are equally well-educated, equally erudite voting against the outcome. When the pattern repeats over time and the same justices usually vote in a block on many of the close cass, one must consider whether the different views are from the “feelings” and “intuition” of the justices, rather than their reading of the law.

Glenn R. Neal is a former prosecuting attorney who also taught Constitutional Law and Criminal Law at West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Miriyam Glazer

Scholar, Expert in Jewish Literature, Spirituality, and Food

Jewish Spirituality is rich with physical pleasures: the fragrance of havdalah spices, the ecstatic celebration of the natural world in the Psalms, the aroma of fresh challah, the waving of the lulav—and so many others. In ways too long lost to us, Judaism honors nature and its gifts, holding a special place for the Seven Species, and rooting its spirituality in the ongoing dance of intellect, body, spirit and soul—and it is time now, to reclaim that heritage, and celebrate it as our own.

Rabbi Miriyam Glazer is a popular speaker, eclectic scholar, and award-winning teacher who has served as a visiting lecturer throughout the United States, northern Europe, and Israel. She is Professor of Literature and Chair of the Communication Arts department at the American Jewish University, where she has taught for 20 years. Her newest books are Psalms of the Jewish Liturgy and The Essential Book of Jewish Festival Cooking.
