“Peace, Love and Lemonade is a refreshingly, inspiring work for someone who is contemplating making life changes. The author, sharing her life experiences, lends significant credibility. While it does not profess to have the final answer, it certainly offers direction and hope.”

Even with insurmountable odds at all sides, it doesn't mean one can't overcome the odds to improve one's life. "Peace, Love, and Lemonade: A Recipe to Make Your Life Sweeter" is a collection of Nancy Stampahar's reflections and anecdotes about her family and how in spite of anything holding them back, they moved forward and greatly improved their lives. Her mother overcame single parenthood for her degree, and Nancy herself overcoming the lack of a diploma, "Peace, Love, and Lemonade" is a great story that will inspire readers to overcome what life lays in front of them.

"Peace, Love and Lemonade: A Recipe to Make Your Life Sweeter" comes from motivational speaker Nancy Stampahar, who writes, "No matter how tough our lives have been, we can reach "our greatness potential.' It is deep inside us. ... Our courage helps us to become more assertive, to ask for what we want and need, and to discover our unique passions." The title is based on the old adage, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." This little workbook offers questions to ponder and the author's reflections on anger, guilt, shame, courage, assertiveness and accountability, and turning toward the positive. 5.5 x 7.25 inches, 176 pages, PB, $14.95. “In this book, author Nancy Stampahar delivers on her title: she offers readers a dollop of peace, a heartful of love, and a practical recipe for anyone who wants to extract sweetness from life. This is so important in today's media-driven culture of cynicism and fear. Nancy reminds us through the sharing of her own tribulations that all situations -- happy or sad, easy or tough -- can be turned into life-affirming opportunities for personal growth. This book is practical, real and compiled in an easy-on-the-eye fashion so readers can pick it up as time permits and glean its wisdom.”

Author of Everything Matters, Nothing Matters

The author put a great deal of thought into the design of this book, and it really shows. In fact, I was impressed with author’s sense of design throughout the entire book; the book is a great size, it contains a number of useful charts and interesting graphics, and the fonts used throughout are clear and readable. The text is also a pleasure to peruse. The author is generous with personal anecdotes, but the book never takes on a confessional tone. I occasionally found the author’s prose to be a bit too casual, but that is a matter of taste, and ultimately I think a casual tone is well-suited to the book’s message. An upbeat tone is maintained throughout.
